# NEXAH Science Lab — Subject Overview

Maintained through: `2026-09-29`

Status: `CURRENT_NAVIGATION_VIEW / NO_STATUS_OR_AUTHORITY_TRANSFER`

This is the school-subject entrance to the Science Lab. It answers “which
subject does this belong to?” and now points onward to the more useful
questions: what was investigated, what was found, where the finding ends and
who should review it.

Start with the [Artifact and Significance Catalog](ARTIFACT_CATALOG/README.md)
when the question is why a family matters rather than only which subject owns
it. The Lab Register remains the status navigator; case-study packages retain
evidence authority; Mission Control retains the current portfolio view.

## Two complementary views

| View | Use it when asking |
|---|---|
| This Subject Overview | Which discipline or school subject helps me enter the material? |
| [Artifact and Significance Catalog](ARTIFACT_CATALOG/README.md) | What did NEXAH investigate or find and why might someone inspect it? |

Neither view promotes a candidate into a scientific result. They provide
navigation to the owning evidence and its declared boundary.

## Maintained subject shelves

| Subject | Primary material | Maintained entrance |
|---|---|---|
| Mathematics | exact arithmetic, prime/CRT fixtures, geometry and cube identities | NEXAH Mathematical Foundations Glossary and Mathematics Map |
| Physics | mechanics, oscillations, phase, structural dynamics, damping, dynamical systems, bounded special-relativity orientation and candidate optical boundary metrology | [Physics Foundations, cases and possible experiments](RESEARCH_AREAS/PHYSICS_MECHANICS_AND_DYNAMICS_STAGE_0_2026-09-20/README.md) |
| Chemistry | matter, species, phases, interfaces, reactions and chemistry claim boundaries | [Chemistry Foundations Glossary](RESEARCH_AREAS/FIELD_GLYPH_NUMBER_ARCHITECTURE_STAGE_0_2026-09-14/24_CHEMISTRY_FOUNDATIONS_GLOSSARY.md) |
| History and historical topography | archival sources, settlement, water systems, boundaries, routes, land use and cartographic provenance | [History and Historical Topography](RESEARCH_AREAS/HISTORY_AND_HISTORICAL_TOPOGRAPHY/README.md) |

## Additional disciplinary shelves

These are navigation shelves without a separate maintained NEXAH subject
glossary.

| Subject shelf | Research families | Boundary |
|---|---|---|
| Computer and information science | representation fidelity, identifiability, records, semantics, graph methods | formal results do not become physical laws |
| Decision science and AI evaluation | model comparison, assumption reconciliation, boundary search, audit trails and calibrated abstention | one case or explicit model is not professional advice, product validation or general system superiority |
| Engineering and control | ORION, power systems, measurement contracts and state estimation | component tests do not establish an integrated product |
| Biology and domain pilots | photosynthesis, respiration, mitosis, planetary and solar families | source-bounded orientation; no domain-authority transfer |
| Statistics and scientific method | uncertainty, bootstrap, negative results, preregistration and provenance | method supports but does not replace domain evidence |
| Human orientation and design | THE EYE, NEXAHEDRON, comprehension and reader utility | external Human usefulness remains unvalidated |
| Arts and cultural studies | glyph, sound, atlases, books and curatorial synthesis | expression remains separate from scientific authority |

The maintained History and Historical Topography entrance owns the source-
criticism and map-provenance rules for the Rödelheim history corpus. It does not
turn visual alignment, symbolic reading or an unregistered overlay into an
historical fact.

## Milky Way · Pineal Aperture · Andromeda

Primary: scientific visualization and coordinate/frame geometry.

Secondary: astronomy interface, computer science and information design.

It is not measured astronomy, biology or pineal-gland research, and it does
not establish physical coupling between galaxies.

The two named galaxies are procedural carrier fields. The Pineal Aperture is
an observer-local selection and comparison operator. The instrument becomes an
astronomical research object only when a named catalog, coordinates,
uncertainties, epoch and projection contract are bound. Until then its highest
relevance is as a transparent demonstrator of frames, cuts, provenance and
residuals.

## Historical priority plan for one Human Owner

`HISTORICAL_PLAN_SUPERSEDED_BY_TERMINAL_D`: The table preserves the earlier
selection, not a current priority or an authorized next test. Mission Control
now records `ACTIVE_PRIORITY: NONE`, `ACTIVE_QUEUE_ROWS: 0` and
`ACTIVE_RESEARCH_CYCLES: 0`.

| Priority | Keep in focus | Why |
|---|---|---|
| P0 — current | Mission Control currentness, total overview and subject map | prevents you from carrying the archive in your head |
| P1 — selected successor | NEXAH incremental-utility validation: one existing tool, one disciplinary question and one strong equal-information baseline | determines whether any bounded NEXAH method adds reproducible value beyond established methods |
| P2 — communication/demonstration | NEXAHEDRON and selected Observatory HTMLs, including Milky Way · Pineal Aperture · Andromeda | makes the method understandable without inflating it into evidence |
| P3 — exact supporting fixtures | Grid Grammar, Prime/CRT, graph and geometry fixtures | useful controls and teaching objects, not the main empirical claim |
| P4 — preserve/park | speculative field readings, universal-number interpretations and unbound symbolic correspondences | high archive value but low current scientific priority |

Historically, P0 was operationally active and P1 was the selected but inactive
successor pending `MC-TRUTH-01`; `UTILITY-00` was its proposed first gate.
That plan is superseded. U1 established only bounded machine existence on
Development smoke cases. U2 stopped with `D_INVALID_OR_INSUFFICIENT_TEST`;
the single repair attempt stopped in R1 with `D_R1_EQUAL_INFORMATION_FAILED`.
The selected, unchanged NEXAH Core could not semantically process the
preregistered Common Carrier. Evaluation and replay were not executed;
`UTILITY-01/01R` is terminal `D_INVALID_AFTER_SINGLE_REPAIR_ATTEMPT` with
`UTILITY_RESULT: NONE` and `STOP_NO_FURTHER_REDESIGN`. The IEEE sidecar remains
a bounded Evidence-Bundle/Fidelity verifier, not an executable validated
integrated semantic auditor. This is a capability gap, not a positive or
negative general utility result for NEXAH. An Integrated Semantic Auditor is
only `OWNER_DECISION_CANDIDATE / NOT_ACTIVE / NOT_SCOPED /
NO_BUILD_AUTHORIZED`; no successor has been activated. Controlling record:
Mission Control `CURRENT/UTILITY_01R_FINAL_STOP.md`; Science Lab evidence:
`SCIENCE_LAB/CASE_STUDIES/UTILITY01R_RFLC_REPAIR_R1_2026-09-23/`.

## Cross-subject split rule

One thread may contain several subjects and must be split by claim. For HZ/FZ:

| Object or result | Subject |
|---|---|
| SMA damper, force-displacement phase and Before/After contrast | Physics |
| bootstrap intervals and ordinal trend estimation | Statistics / method |
| decimal blocks, palindromes and 11-family tests | representation audit / mathematics |
| `12^3 +/- 1` and 1728/1729 identities | Mathematics |

## Reading order

1. Choose the subject here.
2. Read its glossary and claim boundaries.
3. Use a family index to find related packages.
4. Use the Lab Register for maintained Study status.
5. Use the owning package for evidence.
6. Use Mission Control for current portfolio status and activation authority.
